How to Export a Quote

Overview

Export Simpro Premium data into a CSV or text file to manage and analyse data from different areas of your business.

In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. Create Quotes

To set up the quote export form:

  1. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Forms Setup.
  2. Go to Quote > PDF Templates > Forms.
  3. Select Quote Export from the Forms Assigned drop-down list.
  4. Click Add Forms.
  5. Adjust the form name and reorder the forms, as required.
  6. Select Email Logging to generate a note in the activity timeline and customer card file when template is used to email their form.
  7. Click Save.

To export a quote:

  1. Go to Quotes A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Open Quotes.
  2. Search and click a quote.
  3. Go to Details > Forms.
  4. From the Template drop-down list, select Quote Export (CSV).
  5. Click View to download a copy of the quote form.

Data displayed

The following is displayed in the exported CSV file:

Section Name The name of the section of the quote.
Cost Centre Name The cost centre name entered in the quote.
Item Type Either catalogue item, pre-build, service fee, one off item, or labour.
Part Number The part number. This is applicable for catalogue and pre-build items.
Part Description The part description. This is applicable for all item types.
Quantity The quantity of the item. This is applicable for all item types.
Time The time associated with the item in the Billable tab.
Labour Unit Cost Price The cost price for this unit if it is a pre-build, labour one off item, service fee, or labour.
Material Unit Cost Price The cost price for this unit if it is a pre-build, material one off item, or catalogue item.
Labour Unit Sell Price The sell price for this unit if it is a pre-build, labour one off item, service fee, or labour.
Material Unit Sell Price The sell price for this unit if it is a pre-build, material one off item, or catalogue item.
Item Sell Price The sell price per unit, including both labour and material components.
Item Sell Price inc Adjustments The item sell price, multiplied by the adjustment % of the cost centre that covers possible discounts, frees, and adjusted prices.
Cost Centre Subtotal The cost centre subtotal excluding tax, including all adjustments, discounts, fees.
