How to Integrate Simpro Premium with an Existing Taxify Account - US Only

Overview

If you have a paid Taxify account, you can integrate Taxify with Simpro Premium. Tax is calculated by Taxify using the verified site address and the applicable taxability codes.

Taxify integration with Simpro Premium calculates sales tax on quotes, jobs, recurring jobs and recurring invoices. If you have a paid account with Taxify, transactions will still need to be posted to Taxify from your accounting package.

To ensure that Taxify can calculate your tax, make sure that all site addresses are entered accurately and include a street address, city and state.

When Simpro Premium is integrated with your Taxify account, transactions still need to be posted to Taxify from your accounting package to file your tax documentation.

Before integrating with Taxify, please read the Taxify Service Agreement.

In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. System Setup

To register interest in the Taxify integration in Simpro Premium:

  1. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Accounts > Tax Codes.
  2. Click Taxify.
  3. Click the link to register your interest.
  4. Select Yes - I do have a Taxify account.
  1. Log into your Taxify account.
  2. Click Manage Add-Ons.
  3. Click Taxify API.
  4. Copy the API key.

  2. Click Taxify.
  3. Click Enable.
  4. Paste the copied API key into Simpro Premium.
  5. Click Save.

To set up the Taxify integration in Simpro Premium:

  1. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Accounts > Tax Codes > Taxify.
  2. Assign Taxability Code defaults for:
    • Catalog items
    • Pre-builds
    • Labor rates
    • Service fees
    • Prepaid blocks
    • One off items
    • Memberships
  3. Click Save.

After you set up defaults, you can apply specific taxability codes to individual items, pre-builds, labor rates, service fees, prepaid blocks, one off items and memberships.
