Overview
In Simpro Premium, it is not possible for two employees to edit the same job / quote / recurring job / recurring invoice simultaneously. If you open a job that is already open for another employee, you have the option to access a Read Only version that does not allow edits, or request a handover.
Request access to a job
If you attempt to access a job another user is working on, you can select from three options:
- Read only - This gives you the option to view the job, but you cannot make any changes to the job and can only view the job details.
- Request Access - This will allow you to send an alert to the current user in the job and notify them to grant access to the job.
- Cancel - Return to the job list screen.
Respond to a handover request
If you are currently accessing a job and another user requests access, a pop-up will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Select from the following options:
- Reject - The other user will receive a message that their request has been rejected.
- Save and Handover Access - The job will be saved and access will be removed from you and granted to the other user.
- Handover access without saving - Changes you have made will not be saved and access will be removed from you and granted to the other user.
