Task templates on job cards

Set up your task templates so that all the tasks included in the template are shown on job cards and/or marked as billable!

Previously when you added a task template to a job or quote, you had to open each task in the template to choose whether to display or mark it billable on a job card. This time-saver feature aims to reduce these manual inputs by allowing you to set these options when you create or modify task templates in the System Setup!

Start day in your Week View

Set the default start day of your Week view schedule to match your company's work week!

For example, if your business schedules employees starting on Thursday, you can avoid the extra navigation in the schedule by setting your default start day as Thursday in the Week view. Also, the employees who receive their hours through the Employee Portal can now easily see their entire work week, as the set start day of the week will also be reflected in the portal.

Site name in Purchase Order scripts

Add site name to your purchase order scripts to get more flexibility when setting up purchase order emails and notes!

This can be helpful if a purchase order needs to be delivered to a specific site, as the site name can help the delivery person locate the address easily.

Individual due dates and notes per item on purchase orders

Set individual due dates for each group of items going to each separate cost centre when ordering the same item to multiple cost centres!

Previously if you had an order with multiple items of the same type assigned to different cost centres, you could not set different due dates for the individual items. For example, if you had one lightbulb in cost centre A and another in cost centre B, you would have to set the same due date for both lightbulbs.

Now you can set due dates for individual items to easily track when items are due for specific parts of a project.

Customer portal themes

Want customers logging into the customer portal to see your own logo and branding? Instead of the standard colours, you can customise the colours and logo in the customer portal so your customers feel like they are using a trustworthy site.

Go to System > Setup > Defaults > Customer Portal > Theme and toggle on Custom Theme.

Two-factor authentication soon mandatory for Xero

Due to upcoming security changes, any software that integrates with Xero and has a large number of users will soon be required to use two-factor authentication (2FA). If you currently have Xero integrated with Simpro Premium, you will need to activate 2FA in order to continue using the accounting link.
