What's new in Simpro Premium: from 22 September 2024 AEST

Improved Sender ID Registration (AU only)

To ensure SMS delivery and improve visibility on the sender's identity, we've introduced Sender ID Registration for our Australian customers.

You can fill out a provided Google form to register your alphanumeric Sender ID with our SMS provider, Twilio. Once registered, your new Sender ID will be displayed in the Sender ID field, replacing the previous, default NO-REPLY identifier.

If you don’t have a registered ID you can still send SMS through the existing NO-REPLY ID.

Staff email list on the Forms tab

This new feature simplifies the process of adding employees to your email lists and ensures more efficient communication.

Previously, you could only search for customers in the CC and BCC fields on the Forms tab in quote and jobs.

We've enhanced this functionality to address the need to include employees in these email lists. You can now easily search for and add your employees to these fields, directly from the email window.

Quote and Job Viewer in the Customer Portal

This enhancement provides a more efficient and user-friendly experience to review key information, such as job name/status, attachments, and other customer-specific details.

Previously, viewing this detailed information about quotes and jobs in the Customer Portal required navigating multiple pages and pop-ups.

Now, a new Quote/Job Viewer option allows you to access all relevant information for a quote or job in a single, organised pop-up. Additionally, you have the flexibility to customise what customers can see, ensuring that only relevant information is displayed.

BI Reporting enhancements

Maximise your data insights with these enhancements in BI Reporting.

The Recurring Invoice data table now includes two new columns:

  • The Customer Contract ID column makes it easier to effectively join the recurring invoices and contract data tables.
  • The Removed column allows you to identify if customer contracts have been removed from a recurring invoice.

The Customer Contract ID column is now updated on relevant jobs, quotes and invoice tables so that it remains empty if the job, quote or invoice doesn’t have a contract. This makes it easier to filter out records that don’t have a contract. Also, the Customer Contract ID column is now a foreign key rather than a text field, making it easier to look into contract data.

It’s now easier to identify if items are labour or materials.

  • The Billable and Non Billable Sundry Items data tables now have a new Item Type column. The column indicates whether each item is labour or a material.
  • The Type column will also indicate if one off items are labour or materials in the Billable and Non Billable Sundry Items and the Billable and Non Billable Items data tables.

If you have custom fields setup as Numeric in Simpro Premium, BI Reporting will now also treat these fields as numeric, rather than text fields. This means it’s much easier to set up SQL calculations. To take advantage of this update, ensure to create any numeric custom fields from scratch, rather than converting existing text custom fields to numeric. This will ensure historical text data won’t be discarded in BI Reporting ensuring accurate calculations.

Improvements

  • We've resolved the issue causing excessive loading times when navigating to the Xero Transfer tab. If there aren't many transactions to display, the page should now load quickly.
  • The issue where the Order w/ prices (PDF) form was displaying the incorrect branch address is now resolved. The form now accurately displays the branch address rather than the default supplier address.
  • Trouble printing the Annual System Condition Report? We have resolved the issue, and the report should now print as a PDF without any errors.
  • Now, when you select a Form Builder form on an invoice, it should display its content without any infinite loading. All fixed now!
  • We have resolved the discrepancy between the sum of claimed items and the invoice sub-total for the cost center.
