Overview
Before you begin setting up Simpro Premium, give yourself a headstart by preparing some important information:
- Request price files from your suppliers. You may request catalogue files specifically formatted for Simpro Premium from supported suppliers, or format a price list to be imported as a generic supplier catalogue. Learn more in How to Import Specific Catalogues and How to Import Generic Supplier Catalogues.
- Complete the Overhead Oncost Calculator you received in your Simpro Premium welcome email.
- You need to know your hourly overhead, employment costs and pay rate per employee.
- Create a list of labour hourly sell rates and standard service fees (including how much labour is included in each fee).
- Print your current chart of accounts.
- Create a list of cost centres

- Print an example of a customer quote and invoice that displays your current layout.
- Prepare high-level workflow charts of your do-and-charge jobs, simple quoted works, scheduled maintenance jobs, and complex (project) quoted works.
- Ensure you have access to databases that include your customers The entity (individual or company) that receives the invoice for work provided. A customer may be associated with multiple sites, for example, if they are a franchise., suppliers US: Vendor. All of this data is used to build your Simpro Premium database and System Setup, and form the basis of your workflows in Simpro Premium.
