How to Set Up Picking Slip Forms
Overview
Set up how your picking slips for assigned materials display when you print or email them from a job.

In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System > Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. The relevant security group tab and specific permissions for this article can be found here:
To set up the layout of how your picking slips appear when your print or email them, go to System > Setup > Forms Setup > Picking Slip > Display Options and adjust the following options as required.
You may wish to Test how your settings apply as you go.
Header Fields |
Under Grey Area Height, enter the height of the grey area containing the header fields in the top right of the form. Enter '0' mm to display the header fields on a white background if required. Select the fields you wish to display at the top of the form from the Fields Assigned drop-down list, then click Add Fields. You can then reorder these fields using the grey drag handles to the left. To remove fields you do not wish to display, click the icon. |
Columns Assigned |
Select the columns of information you wish to display in the picking slip materials table from the Columns Assigned drop-down list, then click Add Fields. You can then reorder these fields using the grey drag handles to the left. To remove fields you do not wish to display, click the icon. You cannot remove the Description and Quantity columns. |
When you have finished adjusting settings, click Save.
To test how your form settings apply to a real picking slip as you update them:
- Access a job with assigned materials, then go to Details > Forms.
- Select Picking Slip from the Form drop-down list.
- Select the check boxes and adjust the Quantity for items you wish to include in the Item List as required.
- To view only items assigned during a specific period, select an Assigned Date Range, then click Search. Click Reset to remove the filter and view all assigned materials.
- Select Expand to group the item list by job section and cost centre.
- Click Forms > View to open the picking slip PDF form in a new tab.
- Return to the Simpro Premium tab and go to System > Setup > Forms Setup > Picking Slip.
- When you update your settings and save a change, return to the new tab displaying the picking slip form and refresh the page to view how the updated settings have changed the layout.
Items that have been added in the Parts & Labour tab, but not assigned from stock, do not appear on the picking slip.
