How to Set Up Picking Slip Forms
Overview
Set up how your picking slips for assigned materials display when you print or email them from a job.

Picking slips will only display material/stock items that are assigned to the job. Materials in the Parts & Labour tab will not appear in the picking slip.
Required setup
In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System
> Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. The relevant security group tab and specific permissions for this article can be found here:
Set up display options for picking slip forms
To set up the layout of how your picking slips appear when your print or email them, go to System
> Setup > Forms Setup > Picking Slip > Display Options and adjust the following options as required.

Under Grey Area Height, enter the height of the grey area containing the header fields in the top right of the form. Enter '0' mm to display the header fields on a white background if required. Select the fields you wish to display at the top of the form from the Fields Assigned drop-down list, then click Add Fields. You can then reorder these fields using the grey drag handles to the left. Select the columns of information you wish to display in the picking slip materials table from the Columns Assigned drop-down list, then click Add Fields. You can then reorder these fields using the grey drag handles to the left. To remove fields you do not wish to display, click the You cannot remove the Description and Quantity columns. |
When you have finished adjusting settings, click Save.
Use picking slips in a job
Once the picking slip layout is set up, follow these steps to generate and send one from a job.
After you have assigned materials to a job, you can view, edit, and send picking slips to track your stock items.
- Open a job with assigned materials and navigate to Details > Forms.
- From the Form drop-down list, select Picking Slip.
- The Picking Slip (PDF) window will appear.
- The Items tab displays the stock items assigned to the job. The list displays key details including Location, Description, Quantity, and Part Number.
- Filter your view: Set an Assigned Date range or filter by Cost Centre to narrow the list.
- Select the check boxes and adjust the Quantity for items you wish to include in the Item List as required.
- Next, preview and send the form.
