How to Set Up Electrical Test Forms - AU Only

In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Print/Email Jobs

To assign the electrical test form templates so that they appear when you generate or email a job form:

1. Go to System > Setup > Forms Setup > Job > Job PDF Templates > Forms.
2. Select the form templates you wish to assign from the Forms Assigned drop-down list, then click Add Form.
3. You can then reorder the assigned templates under Manage Forms using the grey drag handles.
   • This changes the order in which the form templates appear when selecting from the Form drop-down list when generating / emailing a job form, with the top form being the default option. You can remove a template option by clicking the icon.
4. Adjust the Form Name of the template as required.
5. Select Email Logging to generate a note in the activity timeline and customer card file whenever the template has been used to email their job form from Simpro Premium. Learn more in Create customer notes.
6. Click Save.

It is mandatory for electrical contractors to provide their customers with either a 'certificate of testing and safety' for work on electrical equipment, or a 'certificate of testing and compliance' for any electrical installation work. Simpro Premium users can send the Electrical Test Certificate form to their customers in compliance with the Queensland safety regulations.

Note that currently Simpro Premium supports the electrical test forms as required by the Queensland safety regulations only.

Send the Electrical Test Certificate

When you send the Electrical Test Certificate, the site, job name and description are automatically populated. You need to enter the other details for the certificate manually.

1. Access the job and click the Forms tab.
2. Under Form, select Electrical Test Certificate.
3. Enter the required details in the Certificate Details tab.
4. Click the Forms tab.
   • Click View to open the form in a new tab or Attach to add as an attachment.
5. Select a recipient and click Send.

The Electrical Test Record form is used to test the safety of installed electrical equipment and record them in compliance with the Queensland safety regulations.

To send the Electrical Test Record form:

1. Access the job and click the Forms tab.
2. Under Form, select Electrical Test Record.
3. Click View to open the form in a new tab or Attach to add as an attachment.
4. Use a PDF editor or print the form to manually edit and fill the form.
5. Select a recipient and click Send.
