About Variation Costs

Overview

In the Details > Summary tab of the original job, select the Include: Variations and Include: Linked Variations check boxes to include variation values in your job breakdown table.

US only: If you use Simpro Premium in the United States, the term 'change order' is used instead of 'variation'. Learn more in About Change Order Costs.

In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System A screenshot of a schedule icon with a grey calendar icon and an arrow. > Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. Selecting the Include: Linked Variations check box includes only the linked variation jobs and excludes the linked variation quotes. Learn more in How to Use the Breakdown Table in Quotes and How to Use the Breakdown Table in Jobs.

Actual costs on declined variations and variations awaiting approval are also included when this check box is selected. However, the billable price and estimated price of declined variations and those awaiting approval are not included in the Breakdown table.
