-
Improved Form Builder
We've redesigned the Form Builder interface to make it faster and easier to use. You can now adjust field and screen settings directly in the new sidebar, eliminating the need for multiple pop-up windows. Additionally, the reorganised Field Library will now make it easier for you to navigate and access the Field and Screen Settings.
-
Introducing List screens
Previously, you could use tables to capture repeating groups of data within a form. Now, you can use lists to capture the same information for a single field multiple times without the need for multiple columns. This makes it easier to structure your forms when collecting repetitive data. For example, to collect the names of people at a site, you can easily create a list field within your form.
-
Introducing Loop screens
Now you can convert screens to loop screens where fields can be repeated multiple times. This is helpful for filling in forms with repeated data, such as line items on invoices or inspections. You can also add loops within loops to repeat fields across different sections of a form, providing greater flexibility in collecting the required data. Unlike tables, loop screens offer more customisation options for formatting, allowing you to arrange fields without the restrictions of using rows and columns.

Reauthorise Simpro Premium Connection
To keep your Digital Forms and Simpro Premium integration working seamlessly, you can now easily reauthorise the connection. If your connection is still authorised, this option won’t appear. However, if the connection has been disconnected, the REAUTHORIZE button will appear on your Digital Forms Profile page.
Learn more in Update Your Profile and Integrate Simpro Digital Forms With Simpro Premium.
Field Masks for Single Line Text fields
Use Field Masks to ensure a user inputs text data in a specific format. For example, a field mask can be used to ensure a product ID is always two letters followed by a four-digit number. Learn more in Field settings.
Field size options for multiple line text fields
Set the mobile style of multiple line text fields to appear small, normal or large sized. This ensures that the person filling out the form has a field that is appropriately sized for the amount of text being entered into the field. Learn more in Field settings.
Standard PDF settings and sizes for Single Photo, Drawing and Signature fields
The form builder now has the option to apply standard PDF settings to single photo fields. This ensures they are formatted appropriately when added to a standard generated PDF. Additionally, the form builder has the option to set the size for photos, drawings and signatures on Standard PDFs.
Ability to paste items into the Choices list for Multiple and Single Choice fields
Previously you needed to paste list options for choice fields one at a time. Now you can copy and paste an entire list when setting up a choice field.
Field Conditions support blank values
Previously, if you added a condition to a field you needed to enter something in the value field. Now you can leave the value blank if you want the condition to be applied if the value field is left empty. For example, if you could make a postal address field conditional so that it only appears if a customer address field is left blank. Learn more in Add conditions.
Allow users to add choices on mobile for reference data fields
The allow users to add choices on mobile settings for Single Choice fields now works with reference data. This means that mobile users can type and add a choice if it's not already on the list.
Set a Short Text field to Email and Number style
Need to ensure that a text field is filled in correctly with an email or a number? You can now set a short text field to email or number styles.
Configure decimal places on number fields
Ensure numerical data is recorded in the relevant format and rounded to the correct value. Control how many decimal places are available on a number field. Learn more in Field settings.
Static Image fields
Need to convey important visual information to someone filling in a form? Use Reference Images and Static Image fields to populate forms with preset images. Save field users from constantly needing to upload the same images every time they fill in a form. Add site maps, diagrams, or other images to your forms that might be useful in the field. Learn more in Field library.
Time Format for Calculation fields
Calculations can now be applied to time fields and displayed in a time format, giving users filling automatically to calculate times that should appear on a form. For example enter a start time and a duration to automatically calculate an end time. Learn more in Field settings.
Max character length for single line text fields
Ensure your forms are always presented well and entered text fits perfectly. You can now set a maximum character limit on text fields that display on a single line. Learn more in Field settings.
Reference Images for Drawing Fields
Upload reference images and link them to drawing fields to allow users filling in the form to draw on or annotate existing images such as blueprints, schematics, site maps and diagrams. Learn more in How to Use Reference Data and Images.
Allow duplicate entries on tables
You can now allow duplicate entries from a table’s settings. This is useful if you plan on entering the same values multiple times on the same table and gives you more flexibility when mapping dependent reference data.
Set display fields on tables
If the person filling in a table is scanning barcodes, entering product numbers or selecting from similarly named items, set a display field to help them identify what they’re looking for.
For example, you could set up a table so that when a barcode is scanned, the item name is displayed, rather than the string of numbers associated with the barcode. Alternatively if an item name is entered, you could have the brand names display to help distinguish between different versions of the same item. Learn more in Manage Screens, Tables and Lists.
Set display styles for screens and tables
You can now set up the style of screens so that field labels appear above or to the left of fields when the form is being filled out in the mobile app. Also, change table styles so that the table appears pre-populated or labels appear above fields. Learn more in Manage Screens, Tables and Lists.
System defaults for single line text fields
Set up single line fields to automatically populate with the company name registered used when registering for Simpro Digital Forms or with the name of the person filling in a form.
Reference Image Report
If you’ve associated a reference image with a range of fields in different forms, quickly and easily see which forms are using the image with the Reference Image Report. This is particularly handy when you’re updating or replacing reference images.
This report allows you to see a list of your forms, whether they’re published, the last time they were updated and which reference images they’re using. Learn more in Simpro Digital Form Reports.
