What's new in Simpro Digital Forms:
  • Only show field on mobile

If you’re creating a basic form from a PDF, sometimes you might want to use a field to capture information, but you don’t want that field to appear on the final submitted version of the form.

Some reasons might include:

  • Information needs to be captured while filling out an external form, that only for internal use.
  • A Job ID or Quote ID has been added to a form so that the form is sent to Simpro Premium after it is filled in.
  • Fields have been added to a form to automatically populate with reference data and need to create a chain of automatically populating fields to link them together. But the linking fields aren’t relevant to the complete form.

If you need to capture information for any reason, but don't want these fields to appear on the final, filled-in, version of the form you can make it so that fields only show on mobile.

  • Dropdown Fields

Previously Dropdown was a style option for Single Choice fields. Now Dropdown has its own field type. This means all Single Choice fields added to forms that used the Dropdown style, have become Dropdown fields. Additionally, Reference Data can now only be applied to Dropdown fields, not Single Choice fields. This prevents reference data from being mapped to Radio Buttons and Boxes, since they were not suited for capturing reference data.
