Set Up Defaults

Overview

Set up your defaults for system, schedule, and any extensions you wish to enable. This is also where you set up the customer portal and employee portal.

System defaults

System defaults help you customise how Simpro Premium works to suit your business. For example, you can select a maximum number of table rows to view for each page, and choose what stage quotes are in when first created.

Changing these settings helps you streamline and simplify your workflow processes, and affects your user interface, jobs, quotes, invoices, purchase order receipts, customer assets and customers.

Schedule defaults

Decide how you want to view your schedules, what time increments you want to schedule in, and what information is displayed on schedule blocks. You can also define the number of days in a work week for your timesheets.

Extensions

You can set up extra extensions or add-on integrations to Simpro Premium, including digital forms, vehicle tracking, credit card processing, and more.

Employee portal

Use the employee portal to increase workflow efficiency by giving employees access to limited Simpro Premium functionality without the need for an additional user licence.

Your employees can log in to view their job cards and schedules, and enter information through the portal that you can then see in Simpro Premium. In the same way, contractors can log into the contractor portal. Learn more in How to Set Up the Contractor Portal.

If you want employees to be able to update their job cards while on site, the Simpro Mobile app is available for tablets and smart phones. Learn more in Simpro Mobile.

Customer portal

Use the customer portal to increase workflow efficiency by allowing customers to view their jobs, quotes and invoices, edit their contact and site details, request quotes, book jobs, and pay invoices online.

When customers request a quote or book a job through their portal, the new quote or job appears in your system and you receive an alert. This saves you time manually obtaining quote and job information from customers and creating quotes and jobs in Simpro Premium, and gives the customer greater control.
